Harley Clifford surprised a few people by winning the Jr. Men event in Acworth, Georgia. In the process, he screwed up a lot of your ballots for our first Pro Tour Prognostication contest brought to you by Liquid Force. Since only 37 of the 576 ballots we received had Harley's name listed as the Jr. Men winner, that damaged some of your chances of guessing all three division winners correctly.
However, there was an extremely ironic twist involved in this Pro Tour Prognostication that we've never had to deal with before. One of the three entrants that picked all three winners correctly was Harley Clifford himself!! That's right! Not only did Harley correctly bet on himself to win the Jr. Men division, but he also called Phillip and Nicola as the winners of the pro divisions!
As the rules state, since Harley shares the top prognostication position with two other entrants, we are forced to do a random drawing from those three to determine the prognosticator that will take home this killer Phillip Soven prize package...
Oddly enough, Harley's name came up as the winner. However, since Harley rides for Liquid Force, the company sponsoring this contest and providing all the prizes, Liquid Force decided that it was best to give the prizes to another winner that isn't affiliated with the company. So, we headed back to the random number generator and the big winner is...
Cory Hughes
Here's the break down of the responses we got from you. As mentioned, there were 576 entries. 197 Of you predicted Phillip Soven would win the Pro Men division, 52 of you predicted that Nicola Butler would top the Pro Women's podium and, as mentioned, only 37 of you figured Harely Clifford had it in him to take the Jr. Men win.
While we're getting those goodies shipped out to Cory, you should get in your best guesses for our next Pro Tour Prognostication contest where you'll be predicting the winners of the Pro Men, Pro Women and Jr. Men divisions at the second Pro Tour stop in Ft. Worth, Texas on May 30-June 1.
